1500 the ancient "Poggio Oliveto" farm was built in the luxuriant Maremma territory thanks to the Venturi family from Roccastrada. The farm knew its greatest splendour around 1800 when the Gherardesca Earls made it a little town inhabited by many families. The Curatolo family has been owning the current 115 ha of land since 1982.
Thanks to them the farm can now show the ancient magnificence again, not only because the current owners have taken care of the renovation and improvement of the most important buildings, but also because they have gone back to farming according to productive systems, which are state-of-the-art even from an environmental point of view.
